Michael Schrader Named Chief Executive Officer; Ron Chavez Appointed Chief Operating Officer
Leadership appointments position Accuryn Medical to accelerate commercialization, strengthen operational execution, and support the Company’s continued growth strategy.
HAYWARD, Calif., Aug. 4, 2026 – Accuryn Medical, Inc., a medical technology company focused on advancing critical care through precision fluid management, today announced the appointments of Michael Schrader as Chief Executive Officer and Ron Chavez as Chief Operating Officer, further strengthening the Company’s executive leadership team as it continues to execute its commercial strategy and advance its long-term growth objectives.
Schrader, who most recently served as President and Chief Commercialization Officer, succeeds Todd Dunn as Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, Schrader will lead the Company’s strategic direction, commercialization efforts, and continued expansion while advancing Accuryn’s mission of improving outcomes for critically ill patients through innovative technology.
Chavez has been appointed Chief Operating Officer and will oversee the Company’s operations, engineering, quality and regulatory affairs, supply chain, customer service and technical support, and information technology functions. He will be responsible for driving operational excellence, organizational scalability, and cross-functional execution in support of Accuryn’s continued growth.

The appointments of Michael Schrader as Chief Executive Officer and Ron Chavez as Chief Operating Officer, together with the recent appointment of Khalid Ghafari as Chief Financial Officer, complete a strengthened executive leadership team as Accuryn continues to advance commercialization initiatives, increase clinical adoption of its technology, and execute on its long-term growth strategy.
About Michael Schrader
Michael Schrader brings more than 35 years of executive leadership experience in the critical care and medical device industries. Prior to joining Accuryn as President and Chief Commercialization Officer, he served as Vice President of Sales at NxStage Medical, where he founded the Company’s Critical Care Business Unit and led its growth from startup to approximately $150 million in revenue. As Chief Executive Officer, Schrader will continue leading Accuryn’s commercialization strategy, innovation initiatives, and long-term growth.
About Ron Chavez
Ron Chavez is a seasoned Silicon Valley executive with more than 30 years of experience building and growing medical technology businesses. As Chief Operating Officer of Accuryn Medical, he leads operations, engineering, quality and regulatory affairs, supply chain, customer service and technical support, and information technology while helping advance the Company’s strategic growth.
Prior to joining Accuryn, Ron served as Director of Service Operations for the Western United States at Hologic, where he led a 125-person organization and co-managed a $410 million business. He has also held senior leadership positions at Illumina and Accuryn, directing global service operations, business development, and infrastructure initiatives that improved growth, profitability, and customer experience.
Ron earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Stanford University. He is also a former Board Member and Chair Emeritus of VLAB, formerly the MIT/Stanford Venture Lab.
